Bell Inn, Imber

The Bell Inn

This was originally the 18th century home of Philip Flower, overseer of the poor. It became the Bell Inn from 1840, and  remained open until, like all other residents, the Usher's tenants were required to leave in 1943. Ushers brewery continued to renew the licence well into the 1960s in the hope that the villagers would one day be allowed to return.
1948
Pub, 1948, the adjacent, smaller, building has been demolished
Imber.org.uk does not manage the village and advises visitors to adhere to all safety advice when there.
